Vande Bharat Sleeper Train. (Awakening)
Rupesh Kumar Vicky, Chakradharpur. Indian Railways is going to run Vande Bharat Sleeper Express for the first time in the country. Some special rules related to tickets and travel of this train have been fixed, which are easy to understand in common language.
The rules related to the fare structure of Vande Bharat Sleeper Express have been issued through a notification letter by Praveen Kumar, Director Passenger Marketing Coordination, Railway Board, with the consent of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
While buying tickets for this train, GST will have to be paid separately in the fare. The minimum fare will be for a journey of 400 kilometres, even if your journey distance is less than this.
Only confirmed tickets will be available
The fare will be calculated as per the existing rules of Railways. Only confirmed tickets will be available in Vande Bharat Sleeper train. There will be neither waiting list nor RAC system. That means you will get the ticket only if the seat or berth is confirmed.
As soon as the booking opens, all the available berths will be visible for booking. Only a few quotas will be applicable in this train, like women quota, disabled quota, senior citizen quota and duty pass for railway employees. Apart from this there will be no other quota. Only fully refundable passes or warrants will be valid for purchasing tickets.
Money will be refunded within 24 hours on digital payment
Tickets taken on half-paid or non-refundable passes will not operate in this train. Normal railway rules will remain applicable for children. Railways has said that it would be better to pay for the ticket through digital means. In case of ticket cancellation, digital payment will be required to initiate refund within 24 hours.
Digital payment will be given preference even at the counter, however in case of inability to make digital payment, normal rules will apply. The convenience of passengers has also been kept in mind in berth allocation. If traveling with small children who do not require a separate berth, they will be given a lower berth, if available.
At the same time, efforts will be made to give lower berths to men of 60 years of age or older and women of 45 years of age or older, if possible. Overall, passengers will have a comfortable journey in Vande Bharat Sleeper Express with clean arrangements, confirmed berths and modern amenities.
