Jagran correspondent, Bareilly. There is a possibility of dense fog in the district for the next two to three days. In this regard, the Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert. In such a situation, take special care while traveling and even while going out of the house. Use fog lights while driving. Go out only in case of emergency, cover your face if necessary.

There was very dense fog on Friday morning too, so the motorists had to resort to fog lights. Vehicles were seen crawling due to low visibility. The maximum mercury recorded in the district on Friday was 21.2 and the minimum was 7.8 degrees Celsius.

Whereas, AQI of Civil Lines was 99 and AQI of Civil Lines was 160. In the morning, students were seen waiting for the school vehicle on the roadside. Due to excessive fog, the pain of cold got doubled for the two-wheeler riders; they had to complete the journey shivering.

According to Regional Meteorological Center in-charge Atul Kumar Singh, due to possible easterly winds and partial clouds in the state, there is a possibility of a gradual increase of two to three degrees Celsius in the minimum temperature during the next four days.

During this period, due to low tropospheric stability, the period of dense to very dense fog falling in the Terai areas of Western Uttar Pradesh is likely to continue without any significant change. In view of this, orange alert of dense fog has been issued for the next two to three days and yellow alert for the next two days.
