Jagran correspondent, Sahibabad. Contaminated drinking water was supplied to people's homes in Vaishali Sector-3F on Wednesday morning. Angry people shared its photo in RWA's WhatsApp group and wrote that Indore's water. Local people have also accused the Municipal Corporation officials of not listening even after the complaint.
On arrival of dirty water, local people said that contaminated drinking water is supplied to homes every third and fourth day. Many times, even after complaining, the corporation teams do not come to the spot and try to find out about the problem.
Survey is not being conducted even though the sewer and drinking water pipelines are old. KP Anand, General Manager of Municipal Corporation Water Department, said that no complaint has been received in this regard yet. Teams will be sent and the pipeline will be inspected on the spot.
People will protest at the municipality
Following the announcements regarding drinking water, local people have planned to stage a protest after January. President of Khoda Residents Association, Deepak Joshi, said that on October 26 last year, the association had proposed a demonstration at the Prime Minister's Office in Delhi. It was ended after the officials assured to get the work done in the new year. After the month of January, the strike will be started at the Municipality office.
Contaminated drinking water is often supplied to homes. There is also a fear of people getting sick due to this. Municipal corporation officials should solve the problem.
