Samvad Sutra, Saraun (Jamui). As per the instructions of Bihar State Election Authority, preparations for PACS elections in Chakai block have gained momentum. Under this, voting will be held on February 06 for the selection of President and Managing Executive members in eight packs of the block. For this, a total of 15 polling stations have been set up, where 7856 voters will exercise their franchise. Giving detailed information about the election programme, BDO cum returning officer Manish Anand said that the nomination process will be held on 21st and 22nd January. After this, scrutiny will be done on 24th and 27th January. Voting will take place on February 06 from 11:00 am to 04:30 pm.
The counting of votes will be done immediately after voting, i.e. on 06 February. BDO said that peaceful elections are our priority. This time the polling stations have been selected on the basis of PACS elections of 2021 only. The entire team of the block is united and determined to make this election successful in a better and fear-free environment. This time elections are to be held for Kalyanpur, Ghutwe, Chaufla, Barmoria, Bamdah, Bongi, Ramchandradih and Saraun packs of the block. Here, with the announcement of the election date, the political temperature has increased in Chakai. The activities of all the potential candidates have intensified in their respective areas.
BDO asked to prepare
BDO cum Returning Officer Manish Anand has asked all subordinate officers to prepare for this. For this, BDOs are continuously monitoring themselves. The activities of potential candidates are also being monitored. The election process is being studied. Voter list is being prepared. Police will be deployed at the centers on election day. For this, police from other blocks will also be called here. The police station has also been asked to remain alert.
