No concrete efforts are being taken on the ground to get rid of the jam. As a result, there was massive traffic jam in various areas of the city on Wednesday.
From morning till evening, there was traffic jam in various areas including Akharaghat Bridge, Akharaghat Road, Saraiyaganj Tower, Aghoria Bazaar, Ramdayalu, Harisabha. Due to traffic jam, people had to resort to the streets to reach their destination, but there was problem of traffic jam even in the streets. Due to this, the traffic system deteriorated at many places. The condition of Aghoria Bazaar intersection is such that there is a problem of traffic jam every day.
Signal had to be closed, no action taken against auto-rickshaws
Due to the jam on Wednesday, the traffic signal had to be closed for some time. After this the traffic was made smooth. Autos and e-rickshaws are parked here in a haphazard manner. The width of the road is less. On the other hand, auto and e-rickshaw drivers remain on the road. Due to this, the problem of traffic jam persists, but no action is taken by the police against auto and e-rickshaw drivers.
Queue of vehicles even on the highway
Apart from the urban area, there were queues of vehicles due to jam at many places on the highway including Kachchi-Pakka, Gobarsahi, Majhauliya, Bhagwanpur. Patrol teams of the concerned police station and officials of the traffic police station reached many places and made the traffic smooth.

On an average, every day due to severe traffic jam on Akharaghat bridge, people have to change routes and travel long distances to come to the city, but no concrete efforts are being made by the traffic police station to improve the system. People remain worried due to non-deployment of soldiers.
