Communication partner, Kullu. There was a sensation in the area when a balloon of Pakistan International Airlines was found in Bashla village of Nethar area of district Kullu on Monday morning. Seeing this airplane shaped balloon in a field of the village, an atmosphere of panic was created among the villagers, after which the security agencies also became alert.
According to the information, ward number five member Rajni called Gram Panchayat Shilli head Joginder Thakur and informed him about this balloon lying in the field. Pradhan immediately informed this to SDM Nirmand, who issued instructions not to touch the balloon. After this the police team reached the spot and took possession of the balloon and started investigation.
“SGA” is written on the balloon in Urdu and English. The surprising thing is that even before this, similar balloons with the seal of Pakistan International Airlines have been found in Kangra and Una districts. For the past several years, such balloons have been found from time to time in different areas of the district, but till date no concrete clue has been found about their source and purpose.
Taking the matter seriously, District Kullu Police has become completely alert. According to police officials, in the investigation so far, no spying chip or technical device has been found in the balloon, nor has any suspicious activity been confirmed. The balloon has been preserved and a detailed investigation is underway. The administration has issued instructions to the Panchayats to be alert and immediately report any suspicious object or activity to the police.
Kullu Superintendent of Police Madan Lal Kaushal said, "The Pakistani balloon has been taken into custody by the police team. At present, nothing suspicious like any spy device or chip has been found in it."
