Jagran correspondent, Palwal. Mundkati police station of the district has arrested three youths in the case of murder of Chef Sumit, resident of Okhla, Delhi, in Tumsara village last Saturday. The main accused Ranjit, angry over Sumit's love affair with his sister, had committed the murder along with two associates. All three have been sent on police remand for two days.
On Saturday, the body of a youth was found in the bushes near Tumsara village on National Highway 19, whose face was badly crushed with bricks and stones. The body was identified as Sumit Kumar, a resident of Mavi Mohalla, Okhla, Delhi. Sumit was a chef in a company in Delhi and was missing for two days.
Uncle had filed a complaint against the neighbor
In this case, the deceased's uncle Pramod Rai had given a complaint to the police that the murder was committed by his neighbor Ranjeet and his associates. Sumit loved Ranjeet's sister. Because of this Ranjeet was angry with him. The police had already taken the main accused Ranjeet into custody in the case. Names of two others also came up during interrogation.
According to police investigating officer Imroz Haider, during interrogation, Ranjeet had told that he planned the murder along with his friends Sonu and Rajiv. On the day of the incident, Ranjeet called Sumit home and mixed intoxicants in the liquor. After this, all three made him sit in Rajiv's car and took him towards Agra.
