Patna Metro, NH, Ring Road... DM Thiagarajan Aims To Complete The Projects In Mission Mode

Jagran correspondent, Patna. DM Dr. Thiagarajan SM, in the review meeting of the Project Monitoring Group on Tuesday, directed the officials for prompt and quality implementation of development projects. He said that there is good progress in all the projects, but negligence will not be tolerated at any level. He gave strict instructions to immediately remove the encroachments that were creating obstacles in the projects, not to allow any delay in compensation payment and to complete all the work on time.

Describing Patna Metro work as the top priority, he said that the priority corridor being built from Patliputra Bus Terminal to Malahi Pakri will be completed within the stipulated time. Any kind of obstruction will not be tolerated in this. He directed the officers and SDO-SDPO to work with promptness and sensitivity on land acquisition, land transfer and implementation of projects.

In the meeting, apart from Deputy Development Commissioner Shrikant Kundlik Khandekar, Additional Collector, District Land Acquisition Officer, representatives of NHAI, Bridge Construction Corporation, BSRDCL, NTPC, Railways and others, all the Sub-Divisional Officers, Land Reforms Deputy Collector and Circle Officer were present on Zoom.

30 central and state projects are running in the district

DM said that 30 central-state supported projects of NHAI, Metro, Railways, Bridge Construction Corporation, Road Construction, IOCL, GAIL etc. are running in the district. All work is going on fast. He himself is visiting the project sites in the evening and night and inspecting the progress of the works.

SDO-SDPO were instructed to mark the encroachment at the project site and remove it and provide all possible help to the implementing agencies. Also, the officials of the construction agencies were instructed to ensure mandatory compliance of safety and environmental protection standards in the construction work. He said that by setting up Maujawar camps, compensation should be given expeditiously to the tenants interested in all the projects.

DM gave these instructions project wise

Metro Project: DM said that all the obstacles in the Metro Priority Corridor up to Patliputra Bus Terminal Bairia, Zero Mile, Bhootnath, Khemnichak and Malahi Pakri have been removed. The remaining work of the Priority Corridor is going on at a fast pace. Small issues that arise are being resolved rapidly. There is no pending case of land acquisition and land transfer. The ryots have been asked to speed up the payment of compensation.

Danapur-Bihta Elevated Corridor Project: The construction work of Danapur-Bihta Elevated Corridor Project, which will ease the Patna-Bihta traffic, is going on at a fast pace. By acquiring land in 22 villages, compensation of Rs 184.32 crore has been given to 940 ryots. Instructions were given to immediately complete the pending land transfer works by giving compensation to the pending cases.

Ramnagar-Kachchi Dargah Project: For the Ramnagar-Kachchi Dargah (NH 119 D) project, it has been asked to speed up the land acquisition work and assess the crop and submit a report.

Patna-Ara-Sasaram NH-119A Construction Plan: Under Bharatmala Project, Patna-Ara-Sasaram NH-119A construction plan has 1,119 panchayats in 21 mouzas of two circles - Naubatpur and Bihta. The total area acquired is 176.16 acres. NHAI has approved compensation payment of Rs 149.76 crore. Land was acquired by setting up a camp in December. Now instructions were given to speed up land acquisition and compensation payment in mission mode by setting up Maujawar camp.
