Digital Desk, New Delhi. After extensive deliberations in the Parliament, the 'National Health Security Cess Bill, 2025' has been approved.
In fact, Rajya Sabha returned the National Security Cess Bill, 2025 from Health Care to the Lok Sabha. The lower house approved this bill on Friday. Let us tell you that the cess will be in addition to GST and will be imposed on the production capacity of machines in pan masala manufacturing factories.
Responding to the debate on the bill, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said the purpose of the cess is to meet the cost of national and health security.
