Enraged by SIR hearing notice, people staged a violent protest
Digital Desk, New Delhi. Hundreds of people got enraged after receiving hearing notice under SIR in Chakulia police station area of North Dinajpur district in Bengal and started protesting.
These people protested by blocking the road for a long time and later attacked the BDO office. Here many rooms were damaged and important documents were taken out and set on fire.

This incident happened in Kahata area on Thursday. A large number of police arrived to deal with the situation and controlled it. The police also used batons to disperse the protesters. The protesters also threw bricks and stones, injuring several policemen.
Many employees of the BDO office were also injured in the attack by the protesters. The protesters say that earlier they were asked to provide documents on the basis of the voter list of 2002, why is the hearing being held again.
BDO office vandalized, papers burnt
Many people are not educated, they do not have school certificates. From where will he bring the documents? The elderly will find it difficult to attend the hearing.
Police have said that some people have been detained for questioning. BDO has lodged an FIR in Chakulia police station regarding vandalism and attack.
Its copy has also been given to DM North Dinajpur and SP and SDO of Islampur. Along with the FIR, CCTV footage has also been handed over to the police.
