Jagran correspondent, Modipuram. A large population of Pallavapuram is forced to drink contaminated water. Dirty water is coming from the taps of the houses, due to which the residents of the colony are troubled. People living on the service roads of Phase-One are facing the most problems.
Recently, the drinking water lane near the sewer line was damaged, which was rectified by the Municipal Corporation. After that the problem of contaminated drinking water is coming to the fore again.
Pallavapuram Phase-One resident business leaders Rajesh Kant Jain, Dr. VK Khokhar, Sanjay Bakshi, Mehak Singh etc. say that the work of rapid metro between the service road and the highway had been going on for a long time. Then the service road of Phase-One was closed for about one and a half years.
Meanwhile, the road was also dug up several times. During the same period, the drinking water supply line near the drain had burst. There was also a sewer lane near the drinking water line, whose dirty water was mixing with the drinking water line and reaching the houses.
After the complaint, local councilor Pradeep Verma got the damaged drinking water and sewer lines repaired through the Municipal Corporation. But now again contaminated drinking water is reaching homes. There is a possibility of disease spreading due to contaminated drinking water. Although RO is installed in most of the houses, the RO mesh is also getting choked due to contaminated drinking water.
No one has yet complained about the supply of contaminated water. Recently, when a complaint was received, the drinking water and sewer lines were rectified. Where there is complaint, investigation will be done. Pradeep Verma, Local Councilor, Pallavapuram
