Jagran correspondent, Pilibhit. Eleven guides and safari vehicle drivers were removed for obstructing the free movement of wildlife during jungle tourism. All of them had placed safari vehicles on both sides of the roaming tiger so that the tourists could see it closely. This action of the drivers and guides made the tiger uncomfortable, which could even attack the tourists.

Similarly, at the bifurcation also, tourists got down from the safari vehicle to take photographs of the tiger. On completion of the investigation in both the cases on Thursday, Divisional Forest Officer Manish Singh terminated the services of the accused. On December 7, the tiger was roaming on the siphon (bridge of Kharja-Kheeri branch canal) of Pilibhit Tiger Reserve.

Safari vehicles were parked 50-50 meters away from the tiger.

At the same time, the safari vehicles coming from both the sides stood 50-50 meters away from the tiger. The drivers did not move the vehicles back so that the tourists could see the tiger. Meanwhile, the tiger got stuck due to not finding the way. Later a driver reversed the vehicle.

On December 8, when the video of this incident was circulated on the internet media, the Divisional Forest Officer conducted an investigation. On the same day, at the bifurcation, tourists had got down from the safari vehicle to take photographs of the tiger.

The video of this was also broadcast. He told that it is prohibited to get down from the jungle safari. Driver and tourist guide Rizwan, Amjad, Nafees, Rajeev, Rajneesh and Sadhun Rai were removed pending final investigation. Nawab, Rajendra, Gurendra, Manjinder and Aman were suspended from the forest for a month for clicking photos on bifurcation.
