Samvad Sutra, Salempur. Ward residents reached the construction site and protested against the proposed width of the road construction and got the work stopped. The people who arrived under the leadership of former chairman Sudhakar Gupta demanded that the road be widened as per the standards.
The protesters said that the width of the proposed road is being kept less, which will create problems in traffic in future. He told that this road has been the main route of the area for a long time and through this route there is movement in the surrounding villages. In such a situation, if the road is not made of sufficient width then the problem will increase further.
The Junior Engineer (JE) who reached the spot tried to convince the people on the spot, but the ward residents remained adamant on their demand. He clearly said that unless assurance is given that the road will be widened as per the standards, the construction work will not be allowed.

The construction work was affected due to the protest that lasted for about an hour. Later, after receiving assurance from the concerned authorities that the road would be widened as per the standards, people calmed down and the work was resumed. During this, former chairman Sudhakar Gupta, Munna Verma and other ward residents were present.
