Planned Conspiracy On Pakur Railway Section Exposed, 4 Accused Who Caused Train Accident By Keeping 90 Kg Railway Piece Arrested

Dialogue partner, Pakur. On Wednesday, RPF and GRP exposed a planned conspiracy to cause a train accident in Kumarpur near Tilbhita station on Pakur-Barharwa railway section late on Saturday night. Police have arrested four accused in this case.

All four accused were produced in Railway Court Sahibganj and sent to judicial custody. In this incident which shook the railway security system, the lives of hundreds of passengers were in serious danger. The accused tried to cause a train accident by placing a 1.57 meter long and 90 kg piece of rail on the railway track.

Immediate action of RPF and GRP

RPF Inspector Sanjay Kumar Singh said that a joint team of RPF/CIB/Burdwan, GRP and Mufassil police station Pakur conducted an intensive raid and arrested the four accused. During interrogation, the accused confessed to the entire modus operandi of stealing coal and obstructing the movement of trains by placing iron on the railway line. He told that on the night of January 06, coal was stolen from Tilbhita station and on January 10, a piece of cut rail was kept on the rail track near LC Gate No. 41/C.

The objective of this scheme was to seriously endanger the safety of passengers by causing a train accident. He said that Yaar Mohammad and his associate Arman Ansari alias Kalu planned and executed the mischievous act. Due to the alert action of RPF and GRP, a serious train accident was averted. Railway administration warned that such mischievous activities will be kept under strict vigil and strict legal action will be taken against the culprits.
