Group 4 restrictions implemented in Delhi-NCR.
Jagran correspondent, New Delhi. Pollution in the capital Delhi has reached its dangerous level. For this reason, different grape rules were implemented twice on the same day. AQI was recorded at 431 at 4 pm today in the capital, which increased to 441 by 6 pm. In view of this declining trend of air quality, the sub-committee of CAQM has decided to implement all the measures of GRAP-4 in the entire Delhi-NCR with immediate effect.
According to CAQM, pollution has increased due to slow wind speeds, stable atmosphere, adverse weather and lack of dispersion of pollutants. This is having a serious impact on health, especially the problems have increased for people with respiratory diseases.
The decision states that this will apply in addition to the existing measures of Phases 1, 2 and 3. Pollution control boards of NCR and concerned agencies have been directed to intensify immediate action to prevent further deterioration of air quality. Citizens are appealed to follow the rules of GRAP so that pollution can be controlled.
