Plants missing from pots planted by Municipal Corporation. Awakening

Union Minister of State Krishnapal Gurjar appeared extremely angry over the misuse of the grant received by the Central Government under the National Clean Air Programme. The pots were installed at a cost of Rs 85 lakh. Now, showing seriousness on the issue of breakage and disappearance of plants from these pots, orders were given to investigate. It was also said that the pots should be repaired and there should be plants in all of them. Maintenance of plants should also be ensured.

The Union Minister of State gave these instructions while presiding over the meeting of the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee on Monday. MLA Dhanesh Adalkha, Mayor Praveen Jaeshi, Deputy Commissioner Ayush Sinha, Municipal Commissioner Dhirendra Khadgata and HSVP's Anupama Anjali and other administrative officials were present in the meeting.

Let us tell you that to improve the level of air pollution in the district, the Central Government is giving budget to the Municipal Corporation for the last four years. So far the corporation has received about Rs 50 crore. The budget includes anti-smog guns, plantation of saplings and pots in five assembly constituencies and other works. The minister has come to know that negligence is being done in this matter. The pots have been broken and the plants have gone missing.

On the instructions of the Minister, now the SDM will investigate this matter. The minister gave a strict warning that strict action would be taken against the officials if any negligence is found in this matter. Various 59 issues were discussed in the meeting. In this, the budget expenditure of the schemes, reach to the beneficiaries, ground impact and transparency were taken into consideration.

Instructions for videography, photography and sampling

The Minister reviewed with FMDA officials the permanent solution to the drainage and sewer problems in major waterlogging affected areas of the city including Delhi-Mathura National Highway, JCB Chowk, YMCA, Sikri, Goodyear. Instructions were given that videography, photography and sampling should be done to check the quality of roads. The issue of waterlogging and poor condition of roads in Pali and Bhankri was raised. The Minister directed the Deputy Commissioner to hold a joint meeting with NHAI and the concerned municipal body and prepare a blueprint for a permanent solution to waterlogging and present it in the next meeting.

Discrimination in drinking water supply will not be tolerated

Instructions were given to completely solve the problem of drinking water supply in NIT assembly constituency by June 2026. Officials said that at present there are 11 boosters and about 300 tube wells in the NIT area, yet there is a shortage of 30–35 MLD. To bridge this gap, 12 projects are being implemented by FMDA, which will be completed by the year 2026. He said that equal and equitable water distribution should be ensured in all areas in proportion to the population.

Smart road will be beautified like duty path

Instructions were given to keep the tricolor lights fully functional in Smart City Road Sector-28, to complete tea chaupal, railing and plantation work soon and for proper maintenance of the link road. Instructions were also given to establish three tea stalls in the vicinity and to install tricolor lights on the major roads of the city. Instructions were given to beautify this road on the lines of the duty road of New Delhi.

Minister will give his land for the project

East-West city connectivity work will start soon. The Minister said that his own land is available near the proposed site and the land required for the construction of the bridge will be provided free of cost. He directed the concerned officials to physically inspect the extent of land required for the project and assess the exact amount of land required, so that the construction work can be started soon. Asked to make arrangements for alternative U-turns or diversions to reduce traffic pressure in Ballabhgarh.
