Jagran correspondent, Amritsar. The birth anniversary of the tenth father Shri Guru Gobind Singh Maharaj, the creator of the Khalsa Panth, is being celebrated today with full reverence, respect and religious decorum. On this auspicious occasion, lakhs of devotees from India and abroad are coming to Sri Harmandir Sahib to pay obeisance and offer prayers for the welfare of Sarbat.

This day also holds special significance because on these days the martyrdom days of the four Sahibzadas of Guru Sahib, Baba Ajit Singh Ji, Baba Jujhar Singh Ji, Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji, also fall. By standing firm in the face of oppression at a young age, Sahibzadas proved that sacrifice for religion, truth and humanity is paramount.
