Jagran correspondent, Prayagraj. The issue of reduced number of flights was raised in the meeting of the Airport Advisory Committee of Prayagraj Airport held at a hotel located in Civil Lines on Tuesday. Presiding, MP Phulpur Praveen Patel asked all the airlines to increase flights.
The meeting was attended by Airport Authority of India officials, UPSSP ACP, station managers of IndiGo, Akasa and Alliance Air, ATC officials of the Indian Air Force, Additional Municipal Commissioner from the Municipal Corporation and Superintending Engineer of the Public Works Department.
Along with this, the five nominated members Ravi Mohan Mishra, Anirudh Pratap Singh, Inderpreet Singh, Arunendra Singh and Murari Lal Aggarwal participated. On this occasion, the President asked all the airlines to start the process soon to increase the number of flights, so that the number of flights can increase during the Magh Mela.
Indrapreet raised the issue of passengers going to Banaras due to less flights and suggested keeping the flight timings in the morning and evening. Akasa and Alliance Air requested the Indian Air Force to increase the watch hours from sunrise to sunset till 10 pm so that new flights can be increased.
Along with this, he requested for cooperation in allowing operation of flights and granting permission for more AQR. Apart from this, there was discussion about running electric buses, disposal of garbage and connecting Prayagraj Airport with major cities. All members expressed concern over the reduction in the number of flights.
