Jagran correspondent, Greater Noida. The authority is going to tie up with the School of Planning and Architects to solve the problem of traffic jam at Parichowk in Greater Noida. The team of the institute will give suggestions to the authority on the reason for the jam at Parichowk and its solution. The venue will also give suggestions on structural changes to deal with the jam.
The traffic pressure at Parichowk is increasing considerably. This pressure will increase further after Noida International Airport. Till now, the authority has been making temporary efforts to free Parichowk from the jam, but it has not yielded very effective results. This problem will become more serious in the coming times.
For a permanent solution, the authority is going to conduct a study from the School of Planning and Architect. Apart from eliminating the traffic jam at Pari Chowk, the authority's efforts should also be to maintain its appearance. CEO NG Ravi Kumar says that after the study report is prepared, detailed suggestions will be taken from experts on it. According to the suggestions, an action plan will be prepared and implemented to free the traffic jam at Pari Chowk.
Traffic management can be improved with modern technology and scientific approach. The study will cover aspects such as traffic signal system, structure of roundabouts, feasibility of underpasses or flyovers, pedestrian and public transport facilities. A long-term plan will be prepared keeping in mind the increasing traffic pressure in future.
