In this regard, Jharkhand Higher and Technical Education Minister Sudivya Kumar met Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in New Delhi recently and made several proposals for the development of higher education in the state.
He has also requested for an early decision on the state government's proposal to establish an IIT in Ranchi. He also sought financial assistance of Rs 800 crore for setting up Skills University and Fintech University in Ranchi.
He requested for the required cooperation from the Center in the interest of the State and expressed confidence that the partnership between the Central and State Governments will lead to the development of higher education in Jharkhand. At the same time, many educationists of the city also termed the establishment of IIT in the capital as a strong link and called it necessary in the interest of the students.

The capital Ranchi is already famous as an education hub. In such a situation, if IIT is established then undoubtedly Ranchi will become a research hub. Experts from India and abroad will come here and share their knowledge. A new ecosystem will be created, which will directly benefit the youth here. Separate funds are also allocated for IITs, due to which a new format will be seen. The culture of entrepreneurship will be promoted, with incubation centers helping youth to start innovative businesses.
