Protest Continues In Greater Faridabad: Villagers Of Barauli-Prahladpur Demand Release Of Land, Former Minister Gives Support

Former minister Karan Singh Dalal, former MLA Lalit Nagar and others along with the villagers sitting on strike demanding freeing of land acquisition.

Despite concrete assurances given by Union Minister of State Krishnapal Gurjar, State Cabinet Minister Vipul Goyal and Minister of State Rajesh Nagar, a protest is going on in Barauli-Prahladpur village in Greater Faridabad. On Sunday, former state minister Karan Singh Dalal and former MLA Lalit Nagar and other leaders reached here and supported the protest.

Former MLA Lalit Nagar said that he requests the Chief Minister of the state and the Haryana Government to inspect the situation and release the houses in the villages which are inhabited for 10 to 20 years and the law also says that the landlords who have neither given possession nor given compensation for ten years, should be released by the Haryana Government.

Nagar said that in this bitter cold, elders, youth, women and children have all come together in the open fields to save their homes and their demand is completely justified. The villagers have clearly said that the protest will continue until the Haryana Urban Development Authority frees this land from acquisition.

Already acquired for Sector-80

On the other hand, the authority officials have acquired this land for Sector-80. Here 68 people have purchased plots and full payment has also been made for them. Now if this land is made free from acquisition then 68 people will not get plots. Their money will have to be returned to the authority along with interest. But the plot holders are not ready to take the money.

He is only demanding the plot and has approached the court regarding this matter. Therefore now it is not easy for the authority to acquire land freely. On the other hand, Veerpal Gurjar, president of Gaon Bachao Sangharsh Samiti, said that his land was forcibly acquired.

That's why the villagers went to court. Their demand is that the land where houses are built should be released and if the government wants to take the land, then farmers should get a plot of 1500 square yards per acre. During this, Suraj Chandila, Kisan Union President Jitendra Bhati, Bhopal Pradhan, Ajab Nagar, Rohtash Chaudhary, Bhagat, Vikram Chandila, Ashok Gautam Advocate, DP Nagar Advocate, Ramkumar Nagar were present.
