When Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut was selected for the construction of the first corridor of the country's first Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS), it was probably not possible to believe, but when the executing companies started the work in a disciplined manner under the direction of the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC), the city saw a different experience of construction. Heavy machines started arriving.

Let us tell you that Prime Minister Narendra Modi made the date of Sunday - 22 February - 26 historic by inaugurating the country's first Namo Bharat Regional Rapid Transit System from Sarai Kale Khan to New Ashok Nagar (5 km) and Meerut South to Modipuram (21 km section). Along with this, the date of 22nd February was registered in the pages of golden history by the inauguration of Meerut Metro from Meerut South (South) to Modipuram (21 km).

Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave the entire Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat corridor to the nation as a unique and valuable big gift before the festival of Holi. At the same time, with the launch of Namo train, passengers will now take only about 55 minutes to travel 82 km from Modipuram station in Meerut to Sarai Kale Khan station. On the other hand, the entire station complex of Shatabdi Nagar was decorated with attractive flowers on Sunday to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated the 21 km Namo Bharat extended corridor from Meerut South to Modipuram at around 12.30 pm from Shatabdi Nagar station (Dainik Jagran Square), called the heart of the city.
