Jagran correspondent, Amritsar. Seven officers have been suspended in the tender case worth Rs 52.81 crore put up by the Municipal Improvement Trust. Among these, action has been taken against Trust's SE (Superintendent Engineer) Sat Bhushan Sachdeva, XEN Ravinder Pal Singh, XEN Vikram Singh, SDO Sukharipan Pal Singh, SDO Shubham Pipesh, JE Manpreet Singh and Mandeep Singh.

In the tender, development was to be done in various schemes of Ranjit Avenue. In this, Sharma Contractor was mentioned as the bidder.

After this, Seagull India Private Limited sent its complaint to the Chief Secretary. Earlier, SSP Vigilance Lakhbir Singh had been suspended in this case. Now action has been taken against the officers of the trust. DC had formed a committee and got the investigation done in the matter.

Based on its report, the Secretary Local Bodies has suspended the officer. Two companies were excluded from the tender due to incomplete documents. Now action has been taken against the officer who evaluated the tender.
