Purulia-Anand Vihar new train gets approval, train will run via Ayodhya and Lucknow
Communication Associate, Medininagar (Palamu). Railway Board has approved the operation of the new train from Purulia to Anand Vihar (Delhi). This train will run via Ranchi, Daltonganj, Garhwa Road, Nagar Untari, Ayodhya Dham and Lucknow. It is being described as a historic and much awaited gift for the people of Palamu parliamentary constituency.
This information was given by Alakh Dubey, personal secretary of Palamu MP BD Ram. He said that it is the result of the continuous efforts and determination of the MP that the people of Palamu and Garhwa districts are going to get this new rail service.
He was told that the operation of this train will directly benefit lakhs of citizens of both the districts. Especially now direct rail facility will be available to the devotees to visit Ayodhya Dham. At the same time, patients and their families going to Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGI) in Lucknow for treatment of serious diseases will get relief from the hassle of complicated long distance travel and changing trains.
The MP said that the matter regarding the operation of this new train was effectively raised in the Lok Sabha under Rule 377 and during Zero Hour. Apart from this, demands were placed before the Railway Ministry in writing and orally. This issue was continuously raised in the divisional and zonal level meetings also. Also, the MP had personally met the Railway Minister and apprised him about the public sentiments of the area.
He said that this train will provide new impetus to religious and health facilities as well as regional business, education and employment opportunities.
