Digital Desk, New Delhi. Russian President Vladimir Putin leaves from Delhi after concluding his two-day visit to India. Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar bid him farewell at the airport. In the 23rd India-Russia annual meeting held at Hyderabad House here on Friday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Vladimir Putin, a framework was laid to make bilateral relations multidimensional by moving beyond military and defense partnership.
The process of exploring new avenues of cooperation in the defense sector will continue, but there will be more focus on areas like economic and agriculture. Both the leaders agreed to achieve bilateral trade of $100 billion by 2030, conclude FTA as soon as possible and supply trained workers as per each other's need.
16 agreements were signed and four announcements were made in the meeting. President Putin assured India of uninterrupted oil and gas supply, which shows the change in thinking towards relations.
Prime Minister Modi's continuous voice against terrorism in international forums got Putin's support. Both the leaders appealed to the world community that there should be zero-tolerance against any kind of terrorism.
