Youth Arrested For Urinating In Temple Premises In Telangana, BJP Calls It 'blasphemy'

Digital Desk, New Delhi. A 26-year-old man has been arrested for illegally entering the Katta Maisamma temple complex in Safilguda, Telangana and urinating in front of the idol. BJP and devotees demonstrated condemning the incident.

He alleged that the man had urinated in the temple premises on Saturday night. A video has been circulated on the internet media, in which some people are allegedly seen beating the man after interrogating him in front of the temple.

The accused is accused of illegally entering the temple and insulting religious sentiments. The accused Altaf, resident of Bidar district of the neighboring state of Karnataka, was arrested on January 11 and presented in the court.

According to the Malkajgiri Police Commissioner's office, the magistrate has sent him to judicial custody. Police are investigating the past record of the accused and further action will be taken as per law.

Telangana BJP president N Ramachandra Rao described the incident as "blasphemy" and said the person desecrating the temple should be encountered. He attacked the ruling Congress in Telangana, alleging that it was competing with Bangladesh and Pakistan in attacking Hindus.
