Digital Desk, New Delhi. The investigation into the cheating scandal at the national level GATE (JATE) has revealed the fearless planning of the accused. Instead of hiding away from the fear of the police, the gang had made a tea-snack stall just 50 meters away from the examination center ION Digital Zone as their 'control room'.

Accused Darshan Sehwag was sitting in the crowd like a normal customer and was in constant touch with the candidates through mobile. Due to such a short distance, Bluetooth connectivity remained strong and clear sound reached the candidates sitting inside. As soon as the question was received, the team sitting outside would search for the answer from Google and other sources and send it immediately.

10th pass was handling the command

The biggest contradiction is that the candidate copying inside was an engineer with a B.Tech degree, whereas Darshan, who was commanding the entire operation, is only 10th pass. He was searching for answers along with his friends Narendra Kumar and Bunty.

The arrested accused Amar is an assistant engineer in Chenab Valley Power Project, Jammu, while Lakshminarayan is working in a private company in Haryana. Both of them get a monthly salary of Rs 1 to 1.5 lakh. These engineers, who brought the dream of MTech for a better future, chose shortcuts instead of hard work and now their jobs are in danger.

Equipment was purchased from Karol Bagh

Police investigation has revealed that the special electronic equipment used in this work was purchased from the famous Ghaffar Market located in Karol Bagh, Delhi. After making complete preparations, the gang took a flight from Delhi to Raipur. The purpose of coming by plane was to save time and to carry out their work directly, avoiding the eyes of the police.

Police said that three candidates had hidden very small (micro) Bluetooth devices in their shoes and took them inside the examination centre. These devices were so small that they could not be detected during normal testing. These candidates sitting in the examination hall used to read the questions slowly and through the Bluetooth device hidden in their shoes, this voice reached their colleagues sitting outside the centre.

The accused sitting outside used to immediately search Google and find out the correct answer to the question. After this, the answers were communicated back to the candidate sitting inside through Bluetooth. In return for this work, the candidates had given Rs 2 lakh each.

Arrest made from outside the center located in Sarona

Police had received information from an informer that some people were roaming around in suspicious condition around ION Digital Zone in Sarona, Raipur. When the police cordoned off and searched, electronic equipment was recovered from them. Upon strict interrogation he confessed to the entire conspiracy. After this, the police, with the help of the center management, also searched some candidates on the basis of suspicion, from whom Bluetooth devices were found.

The entire network is connected to Haryana

All the six arrested accused are residents of different districts of Haryana. They have been identified as 26 year old Darshan Sehwag (Assistant), 30 year old Sumit Sehwag (Assistant), District Jhajjar, 36 year old Lakshminarayan alias Lucky (Assistant), 32 year old Amar (Assistant), 38 year old Bunty Kumar (Assistant), District Fatehabad, 29 year old Narendra Kumar (Assistant), District Hisar. Four Bluetooth electronic devices, eight mobiles, three SIM cards and other electronic devices have been recovered from the accused. A crime was registered against everyone in DD Nagar police station and presented in the court.
