Administration strict regarding building without approved map
Jagran correspondent, Ranchi. The administration has taken a strict stance regarding the construction of buildings taking place without approved maps in the municipal corporation area and buildings without approved maps. The Municipal Corporation is preparing for large-scale action to stop illegal construction and ensure strict adherence to rules.
The corporation administration has made it clear that no leniency will be taken against those who construct buildings without getting the map passed. The Municipal Corporation is identifying those building owners who have done or are doing construction work without approved maps.
A team of corporation officials is conducting surveys in different areas and a list of buildings violating the rules is being prepared. Notices are being issued to the identified building owners, in which they have been directed to appear at the Municipal Corporation office with all the documents related to the building.
Orders are being given to come to the office with the documents.
It is clearly stated in the notice that the concerned building owners should appear in the corporation office on the scheduled date with the approved map, land related documents, construction permission and other necessary documents. The Municipal Corporation says that the documents will be examined with complete transparency.
The Municipal Corporation Administrator himself will monitor this process, so that there is no negligence or irregularity at any level. During the scrutiny of documents by the Municipal Corporation Administrator, if it is found that rules have been violated in the building construction, then actions like sealing the illegal portion, imposing fine or demolishing the construction may also be included. Clear instructions have been given to the corporation officials that no compromise will be made against the rules.
Illegal construction is affecting roads, footpaths and drains.
The Municipal Corporation believes that constructions done without approved maps not only spoil the order of the city but can also become a serious security threat in the future. Illegal construction also puts additional pressure on roads, drains, electricity, water and other basic amenities. Keeping this in mind, the corporation has decided to launch a comprehensive campaign against illegal construction. This campaign will not be limited to just one or two areas, but will be implemented in every ward and locality of the municipal corporation area.
The Municipal Corporation has also appealed to the common people to get the approved map passed before the construction of the building and follow all the rules. Those constructing as per the rules will not face any problem, but strict action is certain against those carrying out illegal construction. With this initiative of the corporation, it is expected that illegal construction will be curbed in the city.
