Jagran correspondent, Gopalganj. The Education Department has taken a strict stance on the continuous negligence by the private schools of the district in entering student details on the U-DISE portal.
The department has given a clear warning that the recognition of private schools that do not upload student details by the prescribed deadline will be cancelled. Besides, the U-DICE code of such schools will also be cancelled.
According to the Education Department, the details of students of classes 1, 6, 9 and 11 enrolled in the academic session 2025-26 have not yet been entered in the student module of the U-DISE portal by many private schools nor have they been imported through PAN.
Letters in this regard were issued several times in the past. Besides, instructions were also given to school operators through video conferencing, but despite this many schools did not complete the work.
The department has considered this as gross negligence and disobedience to the orders of higher officials. The Education Department has instructed the directors and principals of all the concerned private schools to complete 100% student entry and import work by January 6 and compulsorily complete the GP, EP and FP of all the students and provide the information to the office.
In case the work is not completed by the stipulated date, the recognition and U-DICE code of the concerned school will be automatically canceled, the full responsibility of which will be on the school management.
The number of schools with zero admission is worrying
According to departmental data, there are 110 private schools in class 1, 121 in class 6, 15 in class 9 and 16 in class 11 in the district, in which zero entries have been registered so far. The Education Department has made it clear that no additional extension of any kind will be given after the stipulated time limit.
