In Gangagat Satparsa village of Dhanrua block, the contract of the Panchayat employment servant who collected Rs 500 for the verification of the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana has been cancelled. On the instructions of DM Dr. Thiagarajan SM, Deputy Development Commissioner cum Additional District Program Coordinator Shrikant Kundlik Khandekar has issued an order in this regard.
This action has been taken against Panchayat employment servant Radha Raman Prasad of Satparsa village of Dhanrua block on charges of negligence, irregularity and corruption in the works related to the Prime Minister's Housing Scheme. Let us tell you that the villagers got the verification done by paying five hundred rupees and the video of them taking bribe was made viral on Facebook. It was published prominently on Dainik Monday. On January 16, the Block Development Officer of Dhanrua had sent the video of Panchayat employment servant making illegal recovery for verification of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Gangagat-Satparsa village to DDC. He informed the District Magistrate about the matter and on his orders called Radha Raman Prasad to his office on Monday with an explanation. During the hearing his version was found unsatisfactory.
After this, his contract was canceled as per departmental rules. If dissatisfied with the order, Radha Raman Prasad can appeal to the District Magistrate cum District Program Coordinator within 30 days of the order being issued. The District Magistrate said that the policy of zero tolerance against corruption is being strictly followed. Any kind of negligence or irregularity will not be tolerated in the implementation of the schemes.
