NIA custody of two accused in Red Fort blast case extended by four more days.

The court of Principal and Sessions Judge at Patiala House has extended the NIA custody of two accused Shoaib and Dr. Naseer Bilal Malla arrested in the Red Fort bomb blast case by four days. Both were produced in the court of Principal and Sessions Judge Anju Bajaj Chandna on Monday amid tight security.
Earlier, Shoaib was produced in the court after the completion of the 10-day NIA custody granted on December 5, while Dr. Naseer Bilal Malla was produced in the court after the seven-day custody granted on December 9 was over. The court allowed NIA to interrogate both the accused in custodial interrogation for four more days.
According to NIA, Shoaib had provided shelter as well as logistical support to suicide bomber Dr. Omar Mohammad alias Omar un Nabi before the blast. Dr. Naseer Bilal Malla, a resident of Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir, has been named the eighth accused in this case. According to the NIA, Dr. Bilal had helped the suicide bomber Dr. Omar to hide and also played a role in destroying evidence.
