Relief News For Patients Going To Delhi AIIMS, Night Queue Ends; OPD Registration Token Will Be Available Here

AIIMS New Delhi is now providing OPD registration token to the patients at the ‘Aashray’ site.

Jagran correspondent, New Delhi. Keeping in mind the convenience of the patients, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi is now providing OPD registration token to the patients at the 'Aashray' site operated in collaboration with the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). It has been claimed that this has eliminated the problem of standing in queues overnight for registration outside the hospital.

AIIMS administration has informed that the patients and their relatives waiting outside the AIIMS campus at night are brought to the shelter through electric shuttle buses. Tokens are issued based on the order of their reporting at the shelter site. It was told that the same sequence of tokens remains valid for OPD registration the next day.

The AIIMS administration claims that arrangements have been made for free food, blankets and clean toilets for the patients and their relatives in the shelter. Electric shuttles have been arranged to reach the shelter site.

AIIMS management has informed that the shelter with a capacity of 250 people is currently in full use. Plans for its expansion are being prepared in future as per the demand and available space.
