Jagran correspondent, Gorakhpur. The Homeopathy Department of BRD Medical College is doing research to know the effect of 10 medicines on other diseases. Each medicine is being researched on 35 to 40 volunteers. Women are also included in these. If the effect of a medicine on many diseases is confirmed, then this research will open new avenues of treatment all over the world.
This is to say that of Dr. Ramesh Prasad, Research Officer (Homeopathy Scientist Three) at BRD Medical College. He was talking to journalists at the Medical College on Tuesday. Said that the World Health Organization (WHO) is organizing the Second Global Summit on Traditional Medicine from 17 to 19 December at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Said that research was conducted on encephalitis patients in BRD Medical College by the Clinical Trial Unit (Homeopathy) from 2012 to 2018.
In this research it was found that homeopathy medicines are effective and beneficial in the treatment of affected patients. From the year 2016-2018, medicine for the prevention of Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES) was distributed in 43 gram sabhas under Chargawan block. The OPD of Clinical Trial Unit (Homeopathy) receives 80-100 patients every day. Along with Gorakhpur, patients coming from Mau, Azamgarh, Maharajganj, Deoria, Bihar, Nepal are given free medicines in OPD. Medicines are also given to prevent communicable diseases. This research has been done. Ramesh Prasad told that under the National Child Health Programme, research work was done in the unit Gorakhpur from April 2015 to June 2018. Its name was given as homeopathy medicine for healthy child. It was found that homeopathy medicines are more useful in the problems occurring during teething of children (diarrhea, cold, fever). Told that research on simple fractures, piles and kidney stones will also be done in the unit.

Tests are conducted at BRD Medical College. Ramesh Prasad said that before the research work, various types of blood tests of the people involved are done at BRD Medical College. After one month, the effect of the medicines is known by re-testing. On October 17, an MoU has been signed between Clinical Trials Unit (Homeopathy) and BRD Medical College to strengthen research work and promote joint research activities. During this, Senior Research Fellow Dr. Vinay Kumar was also present.
