Railway Passenger Welfare Committee has expressed happiness over this decision of Railways. The committee meeting was held on Sunday under the chairmanship of Dr. Chandrashekhar Pathak. In this, it was decided to intensify the agitation regarding stoppage of trains and passenger facilities.
On this occasion, convener cum acting president Nagendra Mohan Singh said that even after the station manager filed a case under the influence of some people, the committee is not going to back down from the issue of public interest.
The demand for stoppage of Shramjeevi, Patna Banaras Janshatabdi Express train at Raghunathpur station and restoration of facilities provided to senior citizens and women during rail travel as before was reiterated.
It was told that one of the demands of the committee to separate the general ticket and reservation booking counter at Raghunathpur station has been fulfilled.
In the meeting, it was decided to meet the Railway Minister in Delhi next month regarding the proposed Ballia Raghunathpur rail route. Sitaram Thakur, Sandeep Kumar Rai, Javed Akhtar, Murtuja Ali, Paramhans Singh, Prabhu Mishra, Nirmal Kumar Keshari, Madan Gopal etc. were present in the meeting.
