State Bureau, Jammu. Lieutenant Governor Kavinder Gupta has said that the Central Government's budget will give a new impetus to tourism in the Union Territory of Ladakh with roads and infrastructure. The Lieutenant Governor said that the Union Budget has covered all sectors for overall development.
He said that the new projects included in the budget will boost infrastructure development and tourism in a state like Ladakh. Urging the youth of Ladakh to take advantage of development, skills and other opportunities, the Lieutenant Governor has said that the budget will also give emphasis to heritage conservation along with responsible tourism.
Welcoming the budget allocation for Ladakh, the Lieutenant Governor said that connectivity, sustainable infrastructure, tourism, heritage conservation and youth empowerment will give a new impetus to the development of Ladakh.
He also welcomed the inclusion of Leh Palace among the archaeological sites identified at the national level for heritage based development. He said that this will promote responsible tourism while preserving the unique cultural identity and ecology of Ladakh.
Kavinder Gupta said that the Union Budget is a declaration of the government's faith in the aspirations of the country's 140 crore citizens. It calls for active contribution from every region including Ladakh in building a strong, self-reliant and inclusive developed India. The youth of Ladakh should take full advantage of the budgetary opportunities related to skill development, entrepreneurship and innovation.
He said that this budget provides a strong foundation for the youth to actively participate in the vision of a developed India while building sustainable livelihoods and preserving the unique cultural and environmental heritage of Ladakh.
Kavinder Gupta said the budget is committed to maintaining its momentum as the world's fastest growing economy. It is also determined to soon include India among the top three economies of the world.
The Lieutenant Governor said that steps like Bio-Pharma Shakti Mission, Semiconductor Mission 2.0, Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme, development of Rare Earth Corridor, special focus on critical minerals, new schemes for the textile sector, promotion of hi-tech toy manufacturing and creation of champion MSMEs reflect a comprehensive and far-reaching vision for development.
He said focused support for MSMEs and small scale industries will enable them to access global markets from local.
