Jagran correspondent, outer Delhi. The police have solved the mystery of the sensational incident of murder of a minor that took place two days ago in the Japanese Park located in Rohini Sector-10. Police have arrested four minors on charges of murder.
Police investigation has revealed that the deceased had a love affair with a girl. The girl's brother was unhappy with this relationship, he systematically created a fake Insta account in the girl's name and called the deceased to meet him in a Japanese park.
Killed with a knife along with friends
After this, he along with his friends murdered him by stabbing him with a knife. Police have arrested four minors including the girl's brother and have recovered the mobile and watch of the deceased along with the knife and bracelet used in the murder.
On January 15, around 3 pm, a minor resident of JJ Colony, Rohini Sector-24 was stabbed to death by some people in broad daylight at Japanese Park in Prashant Vihar police station area. At the time of the incident the deceased had come to the park with his friends.
Rohini district's Additional DCP Sandeep Gupta said that four minors have been arrested on charges of murder. All are residents of the same area and study in the same school.
Used friend's Instagram ID in the name of 'Mamta'
He said that during investigation it came to light that deceased Divyanshu was in a love affair with a girl living in the same area, which was strongly opposed by his 17-year-old brother. It was also revealed that the girl's brother hatched a conspiracy with the intention of eliminating the deceased and used his friend's Instagram ID in the name of 'Mamta' through which he got in touch with the deceased and called her to Japan Park on the pretext of meeting her.
The accused told the police that on the day of the incident, the girl's brother reached the park with his companions and attacked the deceased with a knife, due to which he died.
The police officer said that the murder of Divyanshu was planned by all the minors together. The knife stuck in the chest of the deceased was confiscated. Based on technical evidence and local enquiry, the suspected persons involved in the crime were identified and all were found to be minors. The mobile phone of the deceased was recovered from the girl's brother.
