According to the police, the incident happened on January 26 when Shalini Dubey, a resident of Teachers Colony, HSR Layout, had gone for a morning walk near her house.
CCTV footage of the incident shows the dog running towards the woman on the road, knocking her down and biting her repeatedly on her face and neck.
The woman's family alleged that the dog's owner had left it loose on the road without a leash. There was no cover of any kind on the dog's mouth. Shalini's husband Satya Prakash Dubey said that Shalini suffered deep injuries on her face, neck and head in this attack. He has received more than 80 stitches. His surgery lasted for eight hours. Giving information about the incident, Satya Prakash said that this incident happened on January 26 at 6.50 am when Shalini was returning from a walk.
He said that if the owner could not control such a large dog then it should never have been let loose. It is the responsibility of the owner to follow safety rules in public places and keep the dog wearing a leash and mask.
He told that my wife is in deep shock. According to doctors, injury marks on his face and body will remain throughout his life. Following the complaint, a case has been registered against the dog's owner Amaresh Reddy and he has been taken into custody.
