RRB Technician Exam Date 2026
Education Desk, New Delhi. There is an important update for the candidates who have applied for RRB Technician Grade 1 & 3 Recruitment 2026. The examination date for this recruitment has been revised by the Railway Recruitment Board. Earlier the exam for this vacancy was to be conducted from March 5 to 9, but according to the revised notification issued by the Railways, now the exam will be conducted from March 6 to 13, 2026.

RRB Technician Recruitment (CEN 2/2025) examination will be conducted on 4 dates – 6, 9, 10 and 13 March 2026.
When will city slip and admit card be released?
The exam city slip for the exam will be issued 10 days before the exam date. With this, applicants will be able to prepare before travel by getting information about their examination city. Admit cards for the exam will be made available for download 4 days before the exam date. Candidates will be able to download the hall ticket through online mode by entering the login details, admit cards will not be sent personally to any candidate.
In the RRB Technician Grade 1 and 3 recruitment exam, 100 multiple choice type questions will be asked from the candidates. 1 mark is prescribed for each question. Candidates will be given 90 minutes to solve the paper. In the question paper, questions will be asked from the subjects Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Science, General Awareness and Computer and Applications. Keep in mind that there is also a provision for minus marking in this exam. 1/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. Therefore, candidates should avoid attempting questions to which they do not know the answers.
Through RRB Technician Grade 1 and 3 Recruitment, a total of 6238 vacancies will be filled under various railway zones across the country. Out of this, 6055 posts are reserved for Technician Grade III and 183 posts are reserved for Technician Grade I.
