Rs 48 Lakh Not Paid After Purchasing Mustard Oil In Agra, Case Registered

Jagran correspondent, Agra. Mahesh Edible Oil Company, a firm manufacturing Saloni brand mustard oil, was defrauded to the tune of Rs 48 lakh. Three firm operators did not make payment after taking the supply of oil.

Hariparvat police station has registered a case of fraud on the orders of the court and started investigation. Afsar Ahmed, representative of Mahesh Edible Oil Industries Limited, has said in the case registered at Hariparvat police station that Shrikant Nashkar of Kolkata-based firm Priyanka Enterprises, Promit Maiti of Kolkata-based firm Dwareka Edible Oil Promit Maiti and Bablu Adhikari of Burdwan West Bengal firm Ganesh Traders bought the company's Saloni brand mustard oil.

Assured to pay later. Despite this the company was not paid. At present, Rs 13.91 lakh is outstanding on Shrikant Nashkar's firm, Rs 17.56 lakh on Promit Maiti's firm and Rs 17 lakh on Bablu Adhikari's firm. Inspector Hariparvat Neeraj Sharma said that the case has been registered on the orders of the court. Further action will be taken after investigation.
