In the case of uproar after the Bhandara of Sant Ravidas Jayanti in Roorkee Banarasi village, the police have detained more than 40 people including a woman and an elderly person of the village. In this case, a case of murder, violence and arson has been registered against eight people from one side.
A case of murder and attempt to murder has been registered against 18 people from the other side. A large number of PACs are deployed in the village, while most of the people have fled their homes due to fear of the police.

After the end of the Bhandara, Anand (27), his brother Vishal (25), Yogendra Ghagha (23), Gagandeep and Joni residents of the village, Binarsi, started going towards the forest for defecation.

Angered by the incident, the mob set fire to the house of the main accused, in which all the household items including two bikes were burnt. Seven houses were heavily vandalized and the family members ran away to save their lives.
