The court of ADJ IV Arvind Kumar Yadav II has sentenced a young man who, after befriending a girl from Delhi on Facebook, called her to Mathura and murdered her by stabbing her with a knife. He has been sentenced to life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 20,000. The case was defended by Assistant District Government Advocate KK Pathak.
Delhi girl was called to Mathura and stabbed with knives
On July 26, 2023, near Syed near Cantt Kali Mandir of Sadar police station area, 24-year-old Jaura Khatoon, resident of Saraikale Khan Nizamuddin Delhi, was attacked with knives and seriously injured. Sadar police admitted the injured to the hospital for treatment. From the district hospital he was sent to Agra SN Medical College.
The girl had become friends with the young man on Facebook
Jaura Khatoon had lodged a report of the fatal attack on her in the Sadar police station against Saddam Hussain alias Saddam Ali, resident of Bada Kasaipara police station, Sadar Bazar. It was said in it that he got acquainted with Saddam through Facebook. Saddam had called him to Mathura to meet him. During their meeting, he attacked her with a knife and injured her.
Died during treatment in Agra
Zaira Khatoon died on 30 July 2023 during treatment in Agra. In the murder case, the police arrested the accused and sent him to jail in judicial custody. ADGC KK Pathak said that the court has convicted Saddam of the murder of Jaura Khatoon and sentenced him to life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 20,000. The convict was on bail. The court issued a sentencing warrant and sent him to jail to face punishment.
