Accident on Firozpur-Fazilka GT Road amid dense fog (Photo: Jagran)
Jagran correspondent, Firozpur. A painful road accident took place on Wednesday morning near village Guddad Dhandi/Lalchiyan bus stand on Firozpur-Fazilka GT Road.
Due to dense fog, an unknown vehicle hit a young man riding a motorcycle, seriously injuring him. He died during treatment.
According to the information received, the deceased has been identified as Punjab Roadways employee Jaswinder Singh (resident of Alfu). He was going for his duty when this accident happened on the way. The collision was so severe that Jaswinder Singh fell on the road bleeding.
As soon as information about the accident was received, 108 emergency ambulances reached the spot. Ambulance pilot Gurpreet Singh Aulakh said that the condition of the injured was very serious, who was immediately taken to Firozpur. The injured was admitted to the Civil Hospital in Firozpur, where he died during treatment.
It is being told that Jaswinder Singh was going from Guruharsahay to Dera Beas for bus duty, when this accident happened. Police have started investigating the matter and are searching for the unknown vehicle.
