Jagran correspondent, Lucknow. Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak inaugurated the three-day Knowledge on Sphere and Science Expo in the Zonal Science City from Wednesday with the inventions and innovations of science.
He said that science will play an important role in fulfilling Prime Minister Narendra Modi's dream of a developed India in 2047. It is the responsibility of scientists to benefit the general public through their inventions. Such platforms play an important role in encouraging scientific curiosity among children and youth.
In the three-day expo, Nandini Harinath, Deputy Director, ISRO-ISTRAC, highlighted in detail the importance of innovation and creativity in science education. He also satisfied the curiosities of the students.
Vijay Shankar Sharma, Director of National Science Centre, Delhi, said that such science expos play an important role in increasing interest in science among children.
MLA Dr. Neeraj Bora, CSIR-CIMAP Director Dr. Prabodh Kumar Trivedi and scientists participated in the event. Stalls of many institutions including CSIR-CIMAP, National Botanical Research Institute, Central Drug Research Institute, Geological Survey of India and National Bureau of Fish Genetic Resources were set up in the expo.

1400 MW electricity will be generated from nuclear energy
Nuclear energy will become a strong alternative to electricity generated from coal. NTPC established at Narora in Bulandshahr of the state is currently producing 440 MW electricity, which will be increased to 1400 MW.
