छत्तीसगढ़ पुलिस के शौर्य का सम्मान

Digital Desk, Raipur. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today released the Silver Jubilee Medal dedicated to the Chhattisgarh Police Force at Police Headquarters, Naya Raipur. Congratulating the police force, he said that this medal will become an indelible mark of the indomitable courage, bravery and sacrifice of the police in maintaining peace and security in the state. It is noteworthy that on the occasion of 26th January Republic Day, it was announced to award Silver Jubilee Medal to the State Police Force, following which this medal has been released today.

Chief Minister Sai said that in the last 25 years, Chhattisgarh Police Force has made supreme sacrifice in maintaining law and order and showing extraordinary courage in anti-Naxal operations. He said that this medal will always remember his dedication.

Chief Minister Sai said that this medal assimilates the identity of the soil, culture and tradition of Chhattisgarh. The medal will be round in shape and of silver colour, with an embossed image of the Sal tree on the front and the mountain myna on the back and will be worn with a ribbon. This medal will be worn on the left side pocket of the uniform in the order of preference after Ashok Chakra, Kirti Chakra, Gallantry Medal, President's Distinguished Service Medal and President's Meritorious Service Medal.

The mountain myna depicted in the medal symbolizes vigilance, communication, fearlessness, connection with local culture and team spirit of the police force, while the sal tree conveys the message of strength, perseverance, longevity, conservation, natural balance and effective contribution even while remaining silent. Like the revered Sal tree in Bastar and Surguja region of Chhattisgarh, this medal will also honor the dedication, service and commitment of the police force towards the society and will become a symbol of the glorious tradition of Chhattisgarh Police.

On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, Chief Secretary Vikas Sheel, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Subodh Kumar Singh, Director General of Police Arun Dev Gautam, Director General of Police Police Housing Corporation Pawan Dev, ADG SRP Kalluri, ADG Pradeep Gupta, ADG Vivekananda Sinha, ADG Deepanshu Kabra, ADG Amit Kumar and other senior officers were present.
