Jagran correspondent, Muzaffarpur. Recently, after receiving a bomb threat to the Muzaffarpur Civil Court, efforts have been made to make the security system of the Civil Court complex impenetrable.
In this series, Principal District and Sessions Judge Shweta Kumari Singh has written a letter to District Magistrate Subrata Kumar Sen and directed to install 30 new High Definition (HD) CC cameras at various sensitive places of the campus. In this proposal sent, the Principal District Judge has made it clear that from the security point of view, there is a strong need for these new modern cameras in addition to the cameras already installed in the premises.
It is noteworthy that on January 28, a person with the alias Jeeva Vengai had given a threat to bomb the court. Due to which there was panic for several hours. The court premises were evacuated in view of security. In this case, on the third day of the incident, court emergency in-charge Siyaram Singh had lodged an FIR against an unknown person in the city police station.
Keeping this security sensitivity in mind, now preparations are being made to bring the entire complex under the strict surveillance of the third eye. It has been mentioned in the letter that a total of 30 such places have been identified within the campus where hi-tech cameras are urgently needed to further strengthen the security cordon.
The Principal District Judge has termed this work as urgent and has requested the District Magistrate to take immediate action. So that any suspicious activity can be kept a close watch and such threats or unpleasant incidents can be prevented in future.-
