Self-reliant India Fair In Puri: 194 Indigenous Stalls, Cultural Programs And More

Jagran correspondent, Puri. Self-reliant India and Swadeshi Fair is being organized by the district administration from 10th to 14th of this month at Talabania Sports Complex, Puri.

A total of 194 stalls will be set up in this 5-day fair, which include Pallishree Fair, Agricultural Machinery Fair, Fisheries and Animal Husbandry Resources Fair, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Fair, Handicraft Fair, Book Café etc.

Stalls from all the districts of the state will participate in this fair, out of which the maximum number of stalls will be from Puri district. Various entrepreneurs will be showcasing and selling their products along with the products of Self Help Groups (SHGs)

Similarly, a book café and a photo exhibition based on the information of great personalities (barputras) will be organized by the Culture Department. Cultural programs will also be presented every evening.

Earlier, to ensure smooth and attractive operation of the fair, a preparatory meeting was organized under the chairmanship of District Collector Divya Jyoti Parida. The Collector directed all the departments to discharge their responsibilities efficiently and work in mutual coordination.

Preparations for the fair are in the final stages. Adequate arrangements have been made for sanitation and hygiene, toilets, electricity supply, drinking water, health services, fire safety arrangements and operation of a control room at the site.
