The main entrance examination for admission to class six for the academic session 2026–27 will be conducted on January 7 in Simultala Residential School, Jamui, run by Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB). The board has completed all the necessary preparations for this examination and admit cards have also been issued for the candidates. Only students who are successful in the preliminary examination will be eligible to appear in the main examination.

According to the information given by the board, eligible candidates can download the admit card by logging in through their user ID and password. All instructions related to the examination are mentioned on the admit card, following which will be mandatory for the candidates.

Examination will be conducted at two centers

The main entrance examination will be conducted at two examination centers located at Patna headquarters, Shaheed Rajendra Prasad Singh Government Higher Secondary School, Gardanibagh, Patna (for boys) and Kamla Nehru Girls Higher Secondary School, Yarpur [Gardanibagh (for girls).

The first shift exam will be conducted from 10 am to 12.30 pm for Paper One and the second shift exam will be held from 1.30 pm to 4 pm for Paper Two.

Both the papers will be of 150-150 marks. The level of questions will be of class five as per the syllabus prescribed by the Education Department.

Candidates have been instructed to enter the examination center at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination. No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall after the scheduled time. It will be mandatory to maintain discipline during the examination.

The board has also clarified that carrying mobile phones, calculators, smart watches or any kind of electronic devices in the examination hall is completely prohibited.

If any candidate is caught with prohibited material, action will be taken against him as per rules.

Candidates will arrive half an hour earlier

Both the papers will be of 150-150 marks. The level of questions will be of class five level based on the syllabus prescribed by the education department. It will be mandatory to enter the examination hall 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination of both the shifts. Calculators, mobile phones and other electronic items are not to be taken into the examination hall.
