State Bureau, Lucknow. SP state president Shyam Lal Pal has given a memorandum to Chief Electoral Officer Navdeep Rinwa complaining about Booth Level Officers (BLOs) submitting counting forms by showing living voters as dead in many assembly constituencies. It has been said that even after giving the complaint along with evidence, no action is being taken.
In the memorandum given by party leaders KK Srivastava, Dr. Harishchandra Singh and Radheshyam Singh on behalf of the State President, it has been said that after filling and submitting the counting forms by 23 voters in polling place number-2 in Jhansi Sadar Assembly constituency, the forms were submitted by the BLO showing them as dead.
A written complaint along with photocopy of the calculation form and online details was made to the District Election Officer, but nothing has been done till now. This has happened elsewhere also.
At the same time, at many booths in Akbarpur Rania Assembly constituency of Kanpur Dehat, the voter list of 2003 is not matching with the current voter list.
BJP has appointed a BLO as its booth level agent (BLA) at polling station 116 in Shekhupur assembly constituency of Badaun. The memorandum demanded action against the culprits in all cases.
