Jagran correspondent, Ghaziabad. SIR of the voter list is being done on the instructions of the Election Commission. Under this, till now 59,550 voters have been found dead in the district. The action to remove the names of these voters from the voter list has been taken by the BLO. Apart from this, names of a total of 28,37,991 voters in the five assembly constituencies of the district are registered in the voter list before the SIR programme.

Actually, pure voter list is being prepared under SIR. In the investigation conducted so far, a total of 59,550 voters have been found dead in the five assembly constituencies of the district.

4,30,658 voters no longer reside at their addresses, it is becoming difficult to trace them. There are 3,72,028 voters who have now permanently shifted to another place.

Names of 24,096 voters of the district are already found registered in the voter list elsewhere. 31,024 voters belong to other category, who have not yet submitted the counting form.
