Jagran correspondent, Muzaffarpur. Serious questions are being raised on the health system and sensitivity in Shri Krishna Medical College and Hospital (SKMCH). Rambachan Jha of Kharhar, admitted in the bone department, has been trying for operation for 2 months, but instead of doing the operation, the doctors are advising him to protest.

The suffering patients allege that when they appealed for delay in the operation, the doctor said - protest, go on a fast. Get the person you voted for lobbying or ask the Collector, only then the operation will take place.

Date after date, but not getting treatment

Many patients admitted in ward number four of the Orthopedic Department are falling ill due to other diseases while lying on the beds waiting for operation for the last 20 days and two and a half months. Ranjit Kumar of Sitamarhi and Dinesh Prasad of Mahindwara say that they are repeatedly given dates for operation.

They are made to wait for hours outside the operation theater and then make some excuse or the other and are sent back to the ward. Fed up with this mental and physical torture, when the patients pleaded with the doctors, they were encouraged to fight the system. His treatment is in limbo due to the steel rod not being welded.

As soon as this matter came to light, there was panic in the hospital management. The SKMCH administration has called for a report from the department regarding the matter. Hospital Deputy Superintendent Dr. Satish Kumar Singh said that he has talked to SOD Dr. Rakesh Kumar and Dr. Seraj.

He said that the patient has been admitted under the Ayushman Yojana, but the supplier of the Ayushman Yojana for the steel rod has given up, due to which the operation of the patients is getting delayed. He has been given instructions, it is expected that the operation will be done soon. He said that indecent comments should not be made. If a complaint is received, an investigation will be conducted.
